🤔 What's next?
It has been more than 13 months since I wrote to you. So it’s totally cool if you want to send this mail straight to the trash. Don’t do that to e-mails from Ravish, because they’re usually a lot more useful. Anyway. Much has happened since my last piece here on how you can become a better writer. So here’s a quick recap if you’re interested. If not, you can skip to the last bit where I’m going to ask you for a favor.
I quit my job at Freshworks to join CoinSwitch, India’s largest crypto exchange.
Bought a new car without having to take a loan. Never imagined a day like this.
Dhruva, my son, is now 4 years and 10 months old.
My book has been longlisted for the Gaja Capital Business Book Prize.
Stopped The Orbit Shift Podcast.
Stopped Use Case podcast with Ravish.
Stopped my Hello World column on Money Control.
Stopped writing for IIT- Madras’ magazine Shaastra.
Stopped running. Because I broke my foot. Gained 10 kgs.
Started a nutrition program and lost 10 kgs (more later).
Ran an 8-week cohort-based course on podcasting. Earned Rs 1.2 lakh.
If you’re curious about any of the above (not that you should be) write to me for a longer note and I’d be happy to put it down someday. So what’s next?
You’d have noticed that I stopped a bunch of things. That’s because my new job keeps me on my toes. Crypto is a new industry and there’s a whole lot that can be done with content and communications.
I’ve got a stellar team so I can’t take credit for much of the work. Although I’m proud of it. In the past 8+ months, we’ve launched a new publication, and newsletter, revamped a Youtube channel, an event series across cities, and done a lot of firefighting. Things are starting to add up.
This brings me to the favor. If you are curious, on the fence, or even want to have a quick 2-minute, daily, de-jargonned, crypto bro-free, and fun update on what’s happening in the world of crypto sign up for our latest newsletter.
10,000+ people already subscribe to it.
Trust me this daily newsletter written by some of my sharpest and wittiest colleagues is the easiest and most fun way to wrap your head around the basics of modern money and how to make it.
